Congrat on the Joe Carter auto. Not often do you pull an auto of a world series hero.

Glad I did not disappoint. But seriously, great pull. Looks like this was the last of the 3 pulled and is worth about $2,000. The other 2 have been on ebay:

Worth $2,000?? Yeah, right. Lee, you better do some more homework. Try at least $4,000-$4,500 for a clean Gehrig cut auto....

But...... if he will take $2,000, I'll buy it today.

I really have no idea, just basing the $2k on the bid that didn't mean the guy's reserve. $4k-$5k is even better.

I was happy just to get a Gehrig but what made it better is that it is very bold and fits in the window perfectly.

He ended it early. Probably to sell off-line, to avoid fees and such.

I deal mostly in autographs over anything, and the market is about $4,000-$4,500 for a Gehrig cut, if there is not a piece of game used material with it, like Donruss done with Prime cuts. Those will command more.

HOLY CRAP!! Sweet freaking pull! It is a nice cut, compared to some of the junk they are putting out now. Congrats to you!

Are you gonna keep or sell it? I ask because I like to display my nice cards/autos with McFarlane figures as I feel it really adds to the display. And McFarlane just announced they are doing a Gehrig figure, I think they would look incredible together.

Either way, congrats on an incredible pull. image

Wow Mike! That is incredible! That's one reason why Fig's store is awesome...you dont have to worry about packs or boxes being weighed, etc. Was this from one of the group breaks? Im glad to see it was you that got it! Congrats!
  • Barry it wasn't from a group break. The case it came from was supposed to be for a group break but it got pushed back so he opened it for boxes.I was waiting for you to see it.

UD actually did a pretty nice job on that cut... then again ANY Gehrig signature would be the centerpiece of many collections. He is truly one of the game's elite legends, right up there with Ruth in my mind at least. Congrats on the phenomenal pull!

Really nice card. Not sure what I would do with the card if I had it in my collection though. I would probably end up leaving it locked up all the time in fear of theft or damage. Take a few pictures of you and the card and sell the bad boy!

Great pull, but if you look closely you can see the indents from what appear to be other sigs on the backside of the whatever the Gehrig sig is on. Wonder who those could have been??
