found mismarked NGC holder

I was looking for Vams and as I turned it over to check for doubled O mintmark, there was no O on the reverse! just a plain old 1884 (wish it was a S there) it is a MS63 is there any premium on this kind of coin?

No. A few people who collect TPG "mechanical errors" might pay a very slight premium over actual value, but other than that.... no.

Ah, you need TPG mechanical errors slabs with "comedy value."

Then you will have some real premium attached to it.

What have you been feeding that CC to make the 1 grow so fat?
I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

I enjoy collecting "error slabs" and I've always paid "stupid" money for them.

These 2 are my fav. The 1941 merc was my 1st error slab.

I have a 2018 american silver eagle graded first strike by PCGS. I don't see anything wrong with my slab.

Not a big premium unless you can attract slab error collectors!

I'll try to purchase any slab errors that have IKEs in them but that pretty much limits my scope. I know it screws up the pop reports but for the stuff I've found its a nit as not a whole lot of folks really care about the populations of low grade BiCentennial IKEs.

As a matter of fact, I just ran across one the other day.

    image

Mislabeled as a 1976 when it should have been a 1976-D

Here's one I did get corrected as the Type 2 Pops, since they are so low, should be as correct as possible.

This is actually a Type 1 coin which I paid Type 2 money for but it wasn;t really that much since the grade is so low and at the time the Low Ball IKE set didn't exist.

Lastly, I bought this one off of Heritage specifically because it was a mechanical and paid its T2 value. It was listed as a mechanical error which I thought would be cool to have. Trouble is, Heritage had it corrected before it was shipped out which kinda irritated me but given the value of a 1976 T1 MS66, I can understand.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Here are my favorite mismarked NGC slabs. I think I will start a complete collection of all presidents with the wrong label. To keep things interesting, I will have one each of all the presidents as well as one each of all possible labels - only they will have to be on the wrong coin - NO DUPLICATES!
