Haven't seen a thread completely devoted to Seated dollars for a while so bring out your best and lets celebrate that rarity of these beauties....

I like the 1870. I saw that coin recently on Ebay and was contemplating placing a bid on it myself (I still need that date for my set). Funds were a little tight at the time, so I decided to pass on it. I'm glad to see a fellow board member snag it....great pickup.
Here's one that I just just picked up and posted it on the Forums as a new acquisition. It's an 1858 Liberty Seated dollar, graded by PCGS PR-63.

<< <i>Love that 73CC, my favorite year >>
In that case......here's another 73-CC, also certified by PCGS, XF-40. She's not quite as nice as Speety's, but she is original and a tough date to find in XF.

Here's the first coin in my trade dollar album. 20,000 1859-S silver dollars were struck specifically to be used in trade with China, so it counts as a trade dollar in my book.
I wish it had a chopmark instead of only a test mark on the reverse, but I'm still glad to have it.

how about this one? Another tough 50's date...and if anyone has any other AU-53's for sale that look like this one, well let me know!
Here's an 1850, graded by PCGS AU-55. As discussed before, you're AU-53 has better detail....real sweet coin.
Here's another tough 50's date that's notorious for a weak strike. The 1857 is graded by PCGS AU-55.

This one is variety 2-C, a scarce die combination, since the "C" reverse was mostly paired with the #3 obverse die. At Carson City, used dies were placed into storage until next needed. Since they were undated, reverse dies were reused, even years later. This particular reverse die was later used to strike all 1872-CC Dollars.

How about some 40's? Let's start with 41:
My 1841 is a date that I eventually want to upgrade. Funny story with regards to this particular coin. In the November 2007 issue of Coin Values, an image of my exact coin is used as an example of what an AU-53 Seated dollar should look like (page 44)....how did I get stuck with the AU-50 grade?
Here's a nicely toned 1842 that was originally in an AU-58, ICG holder.

<< <i>Mark.....an MS Seated dollar, you're not playing fair now.

Not playing fair would be dropping a coin i knew you did not have.
Here's our 1842:
How about a couple 44's?
A nice example of an 1849 in AU-55.

How about a couple years earlier, 1847:

I will be buying the coin raw as it was cracked out, but the slab insert is included in the sale.
The CircCam contrast cinched it for me. I had to have this one- though I bought it for resale, I might just cherish it for a little while when it arrives.
Speaking of which, I have seen some real lovelies posted above. Greghansen's 1839 was a HALF dollar, but I don't care... it knocked my sox off.
Aside from the slick 1841 holey "Stealth Eagle" dollar on my Holey Coin Vest, this one will be the first I have had in maybe two or three years. About a year and a half to two years ago, I had a couple of VG raw Seated dollars stolen out of my cases, along with some nice medieval coins.
Stealth eagle. Sssh. You can't see him, 'cause he's activated his cloaking device.
Congrats on you're first Seated dollar.....the coin looks to have nice detail and luster for an AU-55.
Lordmarcovan,
Super nice VF-25, 60-O. Love the look!

Thanks! I just loved the way the obverse looked on the seller's website, hope it looks similar for real, keeping my fingers crossed...
Also like the look of that 1860-O, very cool!
