Ouch! But I've never had the privillege of getting a 70 on any of mine either. It doesn't appear to be worth it to try until I get MUCH better at telling the differences in MS state.

Did you do any previewing of them first?
I haven't sent in loads of SAEs, but when I have, I've always done a quick check first and gotten 25-33%, or so, of MS70.

Either way, it's a harsh lesson.
The $50 isn't bad, unless this is all you will use it for.
The $100 won't be repeated unless you go through an authorized dealer (due to a recent change).
The $145 isn't a complete loss, as long as you sell them.....should get a couple bucks above issue price.

You did forget to add the postage costs though

btw....even 70s aren't going for that much, I don't think

I delivered the sealed box myself. Only checked them for 08 with the 07 reverse. Did not have time to look at them. Will go and pick them up as well.

Its really too bad that these sell so cheaply. You simply cannot sell them for Issue plus the grading fee's ($49.95) much less throwing in to and from shipping costs.

IMO, unless a 70 is obtained this is simply a losing situation for the small time submitters. Always has been.

At least now, given their new First Strike™ submission policies, I won't have to worry about throwing that money at PCGS anymore.......................
