Ok, it doesnt exactly make a 'pop' sound. It's more of a long, loud wet fart sound.

no one really knows... it is a legend passed down from generation to generation. I once met a guy who said he really heard it but there is no way to be sure

Barry, To answer your question, I would say it depends on how good the grades are as to what kind of pop you hear.

I think this is the criteria Psa uses to determine the sound of grades posting..........

5 or more Psa 10's = Motorcycle Fart
2 Psa 10's + 3 Psa 9's = Beer Fart
Psa 7's and below=Common wet fart

It's not the actual card that pops, it's the cartoon-like dream bubble inside the submitter's head of profits from selling cards graded 10's that pops.
