Is this Mantle autograph authentic?
Sorry for my ignorance guys, but just needed some opinions on this auto. I just worry about buying auto's not slabbed.

Do a Completed Search on eBay and you'll get a better idea of what you're up against price-wise.
PSA/DNA cut sigs and index cards of Mantle have been under $200, while miscellaneous cards signed by the Mick have been running $350 and up.
I wouldn't take a chance on that 53 Archive Mantle; besides it's already closing in on the $200 mark.
Just my opinion
Good luck!

spend the $8 for psa quick opinion....these typically sell for about $300+ when slabbed, so there is still room for it to be a "good deal".

<< <i>Real or not, that feedback percentage is scary. >>
Not if you look at the details...
I'd worry about the large number that did slab and are fake. More than you think.
<< <i>I have an signed Mickey Mantle baseball that I found at an estate sale for $2 but for some reason I am reluctant to sell it. Do you think these will ever go up significantly from $500 I mean he has already passed, he isnt accumulating stats any more and so far he has not been accused of steroid usage >>
1st of all, would you mind sharing a pic of that $2 Mantle ball?
Secondly, there's never a guarantee and no one knows for sure, but authentic Mantle cards & memorabilia have always withstood the test of time as far as value goes. I can't remember a time, in my 45 years of collecting only Pre-70 Mantle cards, when any of them have gone down in value.
There's been a lot of dirt dumped on the Mick throughout the years and I wouldn't expect anything new to rear its ugly head soon that would affect the price of his memorabilia.
With the helpful opinion of some of the autograph gurus of this board, you might want to post a pic before sending the ball in to be authenticated.

Lol, you have some issues dude, back to our regular programming...
Unless, Mickey was kickin' a few back prior to signing that ball, I doubt if it's authentic ... but best to get the opinion of others, as maybe someone may have a like signature.
