Any truth to this sales pitch, last year for Platinum coins from the Mint?

An email I received from First Coin Source states that inside information from the Mint is that this is the last year they will be striking the Platinums. Can anyone else confirm this or is this just sales hype?

There's been nothing out of the Mint, or the Treasury Dept. that I know of to that effect. In fact, the last remark Edmond Moy made regarding Plats is that they are the Mint's showcase product. Take that with a grain of salt too.

The Mint is The Mint, and The Mint can do whatever The Mint wants.

These Plats are killing me. If it's the last year for them then I'll sigh a big sigh of relief. At the same time I'll grieve for a really cool coin series.

What next for me? Chinese knock-offs of the classics. image
