Copper For The Weekend

Nothing new for me this week. Which is ok, cause I got a bunch last week!
I snagged this one from Michael Printz back in May of 2007, PCGS MS64 RD.
Gone up a little bit on the Price Guide since then.

This one I've had for a bit now.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
And the 1908 IHC is very nice as well, long time no see Americancopper!
180 degree die rotations carry a bit of a premium don't they Mesquite? Nice coin and for that matter, the whole page too!
I got some grades on Wednesday, along with Trueview photos.
I've had this 1864-L Indian for a few years now, if you look closely there is a die crack from K-12 all the way straight down to K-6 with a little break within the 6 of the date.
PCGS graded it XF-40
Betcha thought I only had Lincolns, eh?

Here is one that took me over 3 years to find one below XF, gently pocket-pieced, original, problem-free, no corrosion, spots and has that attractive dark brown. The thrill is in the chase! (Not my favorite design for aesthetics, and rather spooky the more wear he gets around the eyes, but interesting history nonetheless) I am not good at shooting copper coins, but you get the idea on the details.
(if you have one in a OGH in VF or below you'd like to sell, I'd love to hear from you!)
I don't have anything new but I'll repost this one just because....

<< <i>Mesquite (Jim), that is a really nice page 1 you have going there; lovely coins, all of them!

That's a great looking cent for the grade, as these are tough as nails to find problem free and if they are found they are pricey. It's a known fact that thousands of these where tossed into the ocean by the hawaiian natives in 1847, as they did not accept this coin... nor the 1883 10c through $1 design. So the mintages are meaningless, as many where also melted.

Nothing against Lincoln Cents...I've enjoyed collecting them myself over the years. But there are many other kinds of interesting copper coins to collect as well.
<< <i>heres some variety! >>
Indeed! Thanks and keep 'em coming.
