I'm planning on using blank Dansco albums because the old, out-of-print Whitman albums I have only have spaces for coins up to 1967 or so.

Gardmaster makes some nice ones in the style of the old Harco albums, but without the harmful PVC. Brent-Krueger carries most of the line, or I think you can buy them factory direct.

It's an abbreviation of "I thank yous guys."

My plan to use blank Dansco pages may have run into a snag.

Canadian 50 cent pieces are 27.13 mm, and the two dollar coins are 28 mm. While American 1/2 oz gold eagles are about 27 mm, I don't know if Dansco even makes blank pages in that size. The US doesn't have any 28 mm coins I can think of.

Does Dansco make 27 and 28 mm blank pages?

  • I called Dansco on this very subject and was told they are working on re-issuing (they used to do some Canadian books) in the near future. I could not get a date out of them, so I will wait for those.

    That's good news.

  • Dansco has been promising to revive the Canadian albums for about 2-3 years .
Nothing definate as to a projected date , but they do make blank millimeter pages ,
ranging from 16 mm to 50 mm . Also available are binders which hold about 4 to 7 pages .
They had been busy printing the state quarter albums , and redoing the jefferson
series to accomodate the westward journey coins . Then the president coins needed
albums , along with updated pages for the silver eagles and Sac dollars .
Now, that the new Lincoln cent album is available to hold 12 2009 P D S cents ,
they will probably turn their attention for the high demand to house territorial quarters .
Keep it simple , buy the shield nickel album , and with just 24 openings , one can
complete a set or two every year .

That would be cool - I'd love to start up a Canadian type set to go along with my Canadian Dollars!
