I agree w the call @ home, but hte call @ 2nd was wrong (though we got to see several slow motion replays close up & the ump only got to esee it once live).

I more or less agree with the call at home - my first instinct was that he was out because the throw beat him and the tag looked good, but on the replay it looked like the tag was actually too high and that Navarro got his foot on the plate first.
I don't know man. I would love to go to bed but how the hell can I when I've watched this long? It's like in poker when you're pot commited. *sigh* I will say I am very pleased and think it is classy of Terry Francona to have tried not to use Kazmier.
If the AL doesn't score here (in the bottom of the 15th) I think they either have to call it a tie or Francona is going to have to send Kazmir out to right field and have someone young, like Sizemore, pitch until he coughs up a run.
This has been a great game to watch even if it's been way too long. But it also has highlighted a lot of the problems with the All-Star game as it's structured now.
That's the Lidge PHI fan should start getting use to.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
<< <i>What an outstanding game! That was fun. Thanks for chatting with me MMFB! Now back to the Sox/Yankees rivalry? >>
Good chatting w/ you too, at least there was someone up watching that marathon with me. And as far as the Sox/Yankees rivalry, don't you mean Yankees/Sox?

I don't think I could be an umpire.
What do you think, are they gonna call this game a tie after one more inning?
