Grading 1978 Grand Slam, Carol?

Looking at the population report it looks like almost all of the 1978 Grand Slam cards are only graded Authentic. However, some do have # grades. Does PSA assign number grades to these? I have an opportunity to pick up a nice card that is autographed and graded authentic. But, I would like to resubmit it for a number grade as well. It's minty fresh with a beautiful auto of a HOFer that is no longer with us.

This isn't the card that I am looking at but it is the same thing... different player.

My guess is that the auto was graded and not the card. I would also be interested in seeing the response.

Carol sees no problem with getting # grades on these. The theory for there being so few is that most people just collect them for the autos and get them graded/authenticated as such.

I have a few and will be sending them in soon.
