Anyone suffer from "top loader finger?"

My right index finger, top knuckle, is quite red and often hurts from "knocking" the bottom of toploaders to get the cards to the bottom. Anyone else suffer from this? I thought since "blackberry thumb" was a big deal a couple years ago, us card collectors should get free pain killers for suffering from "card collectors finger." LOL.

Or do I just have a completely rediculous way of getting cards to the bottom of these holders?

Spare yourself any future anguish. Simply tap the loader gently on a firm surface.

I just tap the top loader on my desk, until the card is where I want it. No pain involved.
  • i use my forehead, its contoured perfectly, though it does get slightly irritated.................

  • Dude, that's bad forehead.

I guess I should have thought of the tapping on a hard surface thing. Usually I'm on the couch with a large set of cards and no hard surface in sight. Next time I'll have a phone book next to me, lol.

I have had topload finger from taking cards out of toploads before. They usually slide out with the palm-to-palm slap but sometimes a price sticker or a thicker card makes them stick and I have to use my index finger at it is harsh on my cuticle.....did I mention I am an underground coal miner and tuff mountain man?

Been there, done that. Also, I have had a "paper cut" from album pages. Not fun.

I've sliced open fingertips with my exacto knife while preparing cards for submission.

I have done the same thing several times. That is why I went to the laser cutter. Much safer:&gtimage

How about the bruised base of the palm from banging the other hand to get the card to dislodge from the toploader (a PITA with the older, smaller, thicker cards). My biggest discomfort comes from loading CS1's when I catch the cuticle of my thumb and rip it to shreds!

When I was doing 1000+ CS1's a day, I used to have a callous built up on my cuticle. I'm sure it is a common situation amongst the graders that are constantly taking card out of and putting them back into CS1's all day. I used to hate it!!!
