1980 Empire Strikes Back - Series I...and more...SCANS ATTACHED!

I was sorting through some boxes of cards and came across approx 3000 1980 ESB Series I cards and 11 unopened cello packs.

I am not typically a non-sports collector, but I have had these since the days of the "99-cent Fun Bag" that they used to sell at the drug stores in the early 80's (Revco, McCrory's, Roses, etc). I also have a 500-1000 each of Magnum P.I, Tron, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Truckin'.

All of the cards are basically as they came out of the packs. Not sorted, just opened and put into storage boxes.

What is the market for this stuff? Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

Mike - PSA 10's and PSA 10 stickers are probably the only things worth grading in ESB and Magnum. If it is not a 10, don't bother with grading. Put them up on ebay as mint sets wherever possible and sell the remainder with a cheap B-I-N.

I buy lots like this pretty often. If you want to sell them all at once, I can pay $150 for the group. Feel free to cherry pick the best conditioned ones out as I won't be sending them for grading.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Greg
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

ESB Rack packs of same series have a cardboard header and are typically worth $3-5 per rack. ESB mixed series racks have a cello type header and sell for a little more, $5-7 each. If your cards all came from fun bags, maybe there were 3 card cellos in them but otherwise, I'm not sure that topps produced star wars cello packs for retail, did they?
