Time to play Is It Real Or Not?

I recenly purchased this autograph of Steve Olin on a 1993 card. As you may remember he, along with Tim Crews, was killed in March 1993 in a boating accident. I know his signature isn't all that well known but is there anyone here who knows if this is real or not? I sent it to PSA/DNA Quick Opinion and they deemed it likely genuine. However, another autograph seller e-mailed me and he thought it was fake.

Im sure in the cleveland area, some collectors would think this card is worth a few bucks. It had to be one of his last autos.

Geez, I haven't seen his signature in more than a decade, but I can say that "Olin" in the signature looks awfully familiar. Doesn't mean it is real, but I think there is hope.

The guy who e-mailed me claimed it would be a $500 if real. On the other hand, I remember a 1993 auto of his selling for about $150 or so earlier in the year. I paid $15 for this. I like to think I got a deal.

Well, the S in Steve is different and that's what the guy who e-mailed me brought attention to.

I think it's worth sending to PSA.

While it is "different," it's not really that different. What I mean is, the differences look as if they can be attributed to environmental factors surrounding how the sig was obtained.

Yeah, cards came around or just after Christmas.

Yes, so the point is it would be a scarce auto (much like Thurman Munson on a '79 Topps, Lyman Bostock on a '78 Topps, etc). The seller knew that Olin was deceased but maybe didn't know the year and thus the significance of the card. If so, I'm guessing he would have wanted a lot more for the card, fake or not. I'd like to send it in to PSA/DNA but I haven't been a member for a few years.
