I need some advise on this Ted Williams.Would you get it graded?

and if you did get it graded what would you guess it would grade. There is a bump in the bottom right corner. What looks like a crease by his head must be something from my scanner, the crease is not on the card.

Yes, I'd get all vintage Ted Williams graded.

Nice vg/ex card you have there.

That is a very nice looking card, I would get it slabbed.

After you subtract grading fees and shipping to PSA bothways from your proceeds. I just don't see how you come out ahead compared to selling it raw with a high BIN/Make offer.

If he is planning on selling it, i wouldn't slab t either (thinking 2 at best). If he is planning on keeping it, I would slab it.

Not so sure it's a 4 compared to this Spahn I have. I know it's not the same year, but it's the same time period and company.

  • I'll break with the pack & say you should not get it graded. I think you'll get hit with a MK qualifier due to the staining on the top left corner, and the paper loss on the bottom right corner (see the missing area in the black border?) will keep it low grade anyway.

Having said that, it is a very nice presentable card of ol' #9.

I think it would be a "ST" qualifier, and I agree. And if the back has any staining at all, your probably getting the qualifier for sure. Yes, very nice card though.

I'll say a 4, with an outside shot at a 5. And I doubt you'd get an ST qualifier on a card in that grade range.

St qualifiers are for wax stains as far as I have seen.

The card is a nice vg/ex card.

The paper loss is minor scuffing.

It could grade as low as a 2 and as hi as a 4.

Either way I think it should be slabbed.
