Why would you buy this card unless you were looking to defraud someone

This card should be vallued worthless and people bid up the auction pretty high. I'm sure they will send it to a less the reputable grader that will slab it as being legit and then sell it to some newb that doesn't know any better. That really sucks. Check it out.

It is at least remotely possible that the new owner will be
as honest in his description as the previous owner was.

There is some chance that PSA would have a different opinion,
if they looked at the card again.

    I dunno.

Unfortunately, this is the dark side of the hobby. I truly hope this card is not slabbed by another grading company.
Then again, the buyer could flip it and sell it at a show or ebay as a legit card.

    Just plain sick.

22 bids! Yeah, I'm pretty sure at least a few of those bidders might not have the most honest intentions.

Just by looking at the picture I would not be able to tell anything was done to the card , that is for sure .

Kudos to the seller of the card for at least mentioning it, I'm sure lots wouldn't have .

I agree, to me the card is worthless, but to some collectors, the recoloring could be acceptable. But yes unfortunately there is a chance of the event you mentioned.
  • Yeah, I mean, if I was doing a 69 set and this came along I'd scoop it up.
It's like buying a collector car with a non-matching parts. It brings the value down but only you know it's there.
