What is the market for 3-4 Million Commons ? Someone posted about buying a while ago.

I have a deal on the table to buy a collection that also includes 3-4 million commons. I remember someone on here posted they were buying commons and I can't find the thread now. I think they were from the Northeast.

Anyways is there any market for this many commons? If I run it on ebay as pickup only could I expect to get any solid cash out of it? I know commons are crap, but it is just the fact that there is a TON of them.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks guys.

If you've got the space, donate a chunk at a time for annual tax write offs.

I am assuming you are meaning 88 Donruss and stuff like that. I put them in my extra trophy boxes which will hold about 20k-30k and sell them for $25 a pop

Burbank Sportscards will buy pretty much anything for $0.10/100. Here's a link to their site. Sometimes when I just want to be rid of things like 2000 91 Bowman commons, I'll just drop them off and take store credit - which is usually a small amount more:

If you're looking for a way to offset the cost of the good stuff with quick cash from the 3-4MM commons, they'll give you 3-4K for them I'm sure...you could certainly make significantly more if you waited and sold in small lots, but if you need to be rid of them quick, it's an option...a bad one, but an option.

sucks that it would cost more to ship then they would pay.

    Three to four MILLION commons?

I'm sure if they came with wrappers there would be at least ONE taker on this board. image

I agree with Lee. Unless someone actually comes to your house and picks them up, theyre not worth even messing with. My mom hounded me for years to come back and take all my cards I had as a kid. This was pure junk....hundreds of thousands of cards from 87-92. I had picked through them all long ago and what was left was just a few hundred pounds of crap.
I ended up giving alot of them to one of my dad's coworkers, who has a 10 yr old son. A couple of weeks later, my mom showed me a handwritten letter from the kid, thanking me for "all of the cool old cards". That was a nice feeling.

I sold a lot of 1.3 million cards to a guy in Tennesee 2 years ago. He puts ads in the SCD magazine every now and then. Best part was that he paid for shipping as well. I was paid very well and didnt have to bother about shipping. Just had to have it ready on pallets

Just picture yourself moving 600-800 monster boxes on whatever you're going to use them to ship.

Lee, if I sell them to someone in Maryland I figured I could count on you to come help me unload them.
