Maybe an inter-office gift, or commemorative card to Topps employees only?

  • COOL! I bought plenty of 1988 Topps (back in 88) and have never seen or heard of that.

The next 1990 Topps George Bush?

If I worked for a company and their CEO gave me a picture of himself as a gift, I would leave the premises immediately and never return.

If you worked for a company and they had a CEO I think you'd likely leave the premises immediately and never return.

If this card gets to the right collector, it could possibly bring upwards of $11.00

    Lee,

You read my mind. Is he still alive? If so, I'd like to get it for my HOF signed rookie collection since he played a part in getting the HOF rookies produced. With the right letter sent to the right person, perhaps I could get it signed (as long as he's not dead! image )

by the looks of him in that picture, plus the fact that card is now 20 years old. I figure he is deader than Jeff Francouer's career.

Signed for me TTM in '06, anyway. Don't laugh. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

That's some pretty suggestive stuff there at the end of the bio. on the back. No way that would fly today.

Is it possibly one of those cards that you can get through topps or ud with your own picture on it? My guess is that they may have done that for employees before they did it for anyone else.
