Has anyone opened any '96 Topps Chrome basketball lately?

The BBCE has a box for $600. Dave and Adams has one for $875.

Any opinions?

Has anyone opened any lately?

Any opinions on where it'll go in the future...whether it'll get scarcer and be put away?

It would be a fun rip..Lots of great rookies and chances of that refractor BUT i'm always a little concerned with chrome cards if they are not stored properly they could be all stuck together..

Not a whole lot of it out there, but it seems as though the Kobe card has peaked so I'm not sure how much more the box will increase in value. Nash is really the only other guy that could catch fire. As far as investment potential I don't see a whole lot there unless you can find a sealed case at a reasonable price.

Seems like Kobe's rookies have discounted all future good news. Like Shaqs rookies.

I wonder what the Ray Allen could do, with a potential Celts dynasty. And Nash still has some years left.

How many Kobe's do you usually get in a box?

WORST box break ever... 4 cards per pack.

I think Ray Allen's cards have as much potential to go up as Antoine Walker's. The darkhorse is Jermaine O'Neal who just got traded to the Raptors. He was a great player a few years back and might hit the juvenation machine.

Seems like you guys have forgotten that this is also Allen Iverson's rookie. The # 2 or 3 card in the set in terms of value.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

2 Refractors per box so your odds are tough. That box peaked in the Laker dynasty and never came back down because it is actally a pretty hard to find box. When the Kobe was $450 it was a much better break.

Oh yeah, forgot about Iverson. Sorry Allen.

4 cards a pack, I should have read the description on the dave and adams. I was thinking maybe half a set a box or more.

Too bad, it's such a loaded year.
