Possible Submission Material--What Do You Think?--GRADES IN

I am thinking about sending some of these cards in for my free membership grades. What do you think of them?

Nice cards. I really like that Yount RC.

Well it depends what you plan on doing with them. If you want to sell them I would probably keep looking as they all have some corner/centering issues. If you plan on keeping them go right ahead. Many guys slab stuff that have sentimental value if nothing else.

The Yount looks nice from the front but the cut on the back leaves something to be desired.

I am kind of just looking for grade estimates.

Well like I said if you plan on keeping them for sentimental reasons does it really matter if it's a 5 or a 6??

I think that the Yount is an 8.5 - 9 candidate.

    Tony:

Here's my guesses based on the nice scans -

    Doubleheader Ted - ??
    Namath - 6
    Yaz RC - 6
    Bench RC - 6
    55 Ted - 6
    Yount - 8
    Kaline - 8
    Spahn - 8
    Howe - 7.5
    OPC Mario - 8
    Topps Mario - 8.5

All very nice and all worthy of grading - but the doubleheader may require a separate submission and may not be worth the $$ therefore.

Based on what I can tell from the scans I think you are pretty close

The Yount is only going up in value... image

Too many Barley pops at the course today to give grades, very nice cards and you should be happy when they come back.

My guess is the 68 Kaline is the top of the class.

The Double Header is probably a PSA 4, but I've seen worse in PSA 5.

The only card that may have a back centering issue is the 1960 Yaz... The others should not be hurt by the back centering.

    WILLIAMS - 6 MC
    NAMATH - 7.5
    YAZ - 7
    BENCH - 7
WILLIAMS 7 MAYBE 6 DUE TO THE TILT
YOUNT 9 OR TRIMMED ( I DONT THINK IT IS )
    KALINE 8.5-9
    SPAHN - 7
    HOWE 8
    MARIO OPC - 8
    MARIO - 9

those are some beauts! If I were sending my 6 freebies, I would send:
    66 Namath
    55 Williams
    68 Bench
    75 Yount
    Howe
    whichever mario is nicer.

some people might not think they should be graded, but everyone will agree these are nice cards.

Pop report on '51 Spahn is 47. Nice grades!

Depending on the upper left corner on the Yount, that card may be undergraded.

8 is accurate on the Yount, IMO, though you may eventually get the .5 bump on that one. I have also found that PSA will grade star cards rougher than commons for the most part.
