RIP Rutherford Knox Navarro
I realize this is off topic, but I spend some time on these boards and contribute things of value occasionally, so I felt entitled to make an off topic post. I lost a member of my pet family this week. Rutherford Knox Navarro, he was my 14 1/2 year old 4 1/2 lb. chihuahua, I've had him since 1993 and he's been along for about 40% of my entire life. He brought my family a lot of good times and joy over the years. Because of my occupation, I don't get close to a lot of people, so I tend to get close to my wife, son and daughter, and my pet friends. I've shared pics of my wallaby on the board, but I never shared pics of my best pet so here he is, he is the brown one in the pictures, his partner Emma (the white haired one) has been moping ever since. He died about midnight one night and I went out and buried him about 1 AM. I know this post may make me come across as a little eccentric or crazy, but please hold your jokes for another thread. There really is no point to this post other than to allow me to show him off to my online friends and to take a few moments of reflection for myself. Love your pets, because they count on you. Take care and thanks for listening to me ramble.
Mike

Sounds like your family gave him a great life.
Sorry for your loss.
Loves me some shiny!

Pets are truly special and, indeed, part of the family.
Not really a "cat guy," but I grew surprisingly close to our family cat, Lefty.
Sadly, we had to put him down a week ago today.
Sure do miss that little guy.
Time heals.
Anyone who loves animals and has lost a family pet knows what you are going through.
Godspeed Rutherford!
Sorry for your loss. I know this sounds crazy, but I will mention him in church tomorrow. We have a pet blessing Sunday coming up soon where pet owners can come and have their pets prayed over. So, we take family pets pretty serious. Hang in there buddy.
+1 unconditional love
