Can anyone tell me what this is (was)?

The date appears to be 1567, if that's any help. Thanks.

'Tis a tanner or sixpence of QEI, these circulated regularly until the early 18th century, which accounts for the great wear on the coin. For the fact that Thomas Gresham, QEIs' financial advisor recommended having Sterling ie .925 fine coinage, would solidify her hold on the throne. For this reason these coins circulated much longer than those of her predecessors, HVIII and some of EVI.
