Three Cent Piece & Shield Nickel......Cleaned?? BIG pics

I just received these two pieces today. I am new to grading/collecting coins, but do these look like they have been cleaned? Grade? Just curious what you guys/gals think. Thank you. Chaz

I don't see many hairlines, and the color looks "original" enough from the images.
But, it's up to you if you want to call them cleaned or not. At least you're playing it safe!

Both sides are there, you just have to scroll over since they are so damn big.

At worst net low vf if dinged as cleaned and damaged.
The 3¢ I think would bb for cleaning and be a net grade in the vf range.

I provided an opinion on the Shield based on the photo: cleaned EF45/AU50 details. A "net grade," as you use the term, is meaningless except as a price tag for a "problem" coin. Personally, because 1882s are readily available and relatively cheap in higher circulated grades, I would net grade a cleaned EF45/AU50 as PO1 to reflect its value in the context of the series. Other opinions will vary.
