Falling on hard times

Well my topic seems to be "Par for the Course" for some members of the CU forum during these recent financialy troubling times. I am thankful that I have not lost my job however I need to selll most if not all of my collection due to some impending financial hardships that I am currently experiencing. Now a little bit about my dilema, I do not have a complete inventory of my collection however some of the highlights consist of 2 1 oz. 2006 Gold Buffalos PCGS PF-69 DCAM First Strike, 1882 and 1884 CC NGC MS-64 GSA Morgans, 1885 CC PCGS MS-63 Morgan, 1889 CC raw Morgan in VF-XF, many more PCGS graded Morgans that range from AU-55-MS65 (most are common date), complete 1967 Canadian Centiniel PCGS graded SP set which contain two top POP coins (this set includes the $20 Gold coin as well as the original SP mint box, approximately 250 raw Morgans that range in grade from damaged/cleaned/tooled up to MS-63+, 1928 raw Peace dollar-AU-50-55, 30+ NGC graded MS-67 FSB Mercury dimes, several PCGS graded CBHs, and the list just goes on and on with many more NGC and PCGS graded coins of various denominations and series. Here is my real problem, I would like to invite any that are interested to view this collection, of course at a pre-arranged scheduled time, and possibly provide a consignment service or a bulk purchase offer if possible. Now before I am flooded with PMs asking about individual coins, I do not have time to photograph these coins, I do not have time to negotiate single coin deals-thus the offer for having someone consign for my collection, and I only want those who are genuinely serious about assisting me apply to help. This is very painful for me as I have spent the past 8 years accumulating this collection and it is a very emotional time however I know that I must do this in order to get things back in order in my life. I am located in the Chicago area so any members that are interested in setting up a viewing please PM me. I would strongly prefer to have those interested come and view this collection as it is way to extensive to ship without someone viewing it in person. If I had to inventory, pack, ship, and await an assesment then I might as well sell it off on ebay myself. Please do not misunderstand my message or the intent thereof, I just simply do not have the time. My collection is worth over 10k in melt alone so packing and sending it is just simply out of the question. Thanks for your understanding.

I will be out of town for the July 4th weekend so please be patient with me as I will respond to all PMs upon my return on July 6th.

  • Sounds like you have some stuff I may like. Maybe you can just list them seperately and sell them online? Probably get more that way..

A consignment to Russ for eBay listing might be an option for you to consider. He seems to do well with the NGC & PCGS graded items for his consignors.
