looking to buy a few cards.

What is a fair price to pay for these cards. I am looking to buy raw and get anywhere between a 7.5 and 8.0 PSA equivalint.

1980-81 bird/magic topps rookie 7.5-8 psa card

1982 topps traded Cal ripken jr rookie

1969-70 TOPPS Lew Alcindor Rookie

1969 Topps Reggie Jackson Rookie

1968 Topps Johnney Bench Rookie

Thanks

You're better off buying graded. If it would grade a 7.5 or 8, it will most likely be graded already by one of the big 3. If it's trimmed or altered or has a hidden flaw you can find it in a PRO or FGS slab or something equivalent.

You might find that gem on ebay, but you're looking for a needle in a haystack and it's much more common to find hay in a haystack.

I like buying cards raw from guys that don't sell alot of cards. They are selling off their collections from when they were kids. I have been very lucky i guess. I try to stay away from buying raw from guys that sell graded cards. I have got a few bad ones befor but the sellers have been pretty good with taking them back.

Ebay has a search feature that is very useful.

jimq112 summed it up for you pretty well ....

    here are my thoughts:

anyone selling these cards raw, in 7.5 or 8 condition, is either a novice seller or a fool or both....

aren't you going to get them graded anyway?

some of these you can get in PSA 7 for around $100 ....

here's a few prices for you to consider when buying raw.... but know your seller!

    1980-81 bird/magic topps rookie 7.5-8 psa card ..... maybe $150 - $175

    1982 topps traded Cal ripken jr rookie .... $70 - $90

1969-70 TOPPS Lew Alcindor Rookie .... Link

    1969 Topps Reggie Jackson Rookie .... maybe $75 - $90

    1968 Topps Johnny Bench Rookie .... $50 - $65
