Medal or currency? How about both! Large pictures enclosed.

Over the weekend, I happened to post some lousy pictures of a macerated currency medal. I now have better pictures. I was wrong with part of the details though. I thought it was fractional notes, but the coloring is actually from National Currency. I am going to double-post this in the currency forum, but thought those that only look here would be interested too.
There's a sticker on the back that states that this was a souvenir from the Columbian Expo, but I have yet to find any evidence of that.

I suppose they were probably painstakingly glued on after the strike but they appear from the picture to almost be struck in.
WOW

As stupid as it sounds, I didn't even think about that. I wonder if Fuld knows anything about it too!

<< <i>Not to be redundant, but that is very cool. Where did you find it? >>
It actually belongs to my local dealer. He asked me if I knew anything about it given the reference on the sticker on the back to the Columbian Expo. I'm currently trying to do a little more research on it to see if it could possibly be from the Fair. Either way, I may see if I can buy it from him. It came across the counter!
