About two weeks ago I bought a box of 78 OPC and a Box of 83 Fleer from our boy Ron Burgundy. First the bad news. These were the only cards worth scanning in the entire 83 Fleer Box.

What is he holding on to in that pic? I always assumed it was a bat, but on closer look, it doesn't appear to be. Is it a dugout railing?
I was hoping for a nice star in 10 quality, but none of the stars were really that great. The commons on the other had were outstanding! I've never seen a 70's OPC box that had such nice cuts. There must be 100 cards that will grade 8 or better.
I have 18 scans so be warned it could get heavy....

It's just a weighted bar to loosen up with before at bat. I think.

And that's all she wrote... Pretty nice for OPC. Tons of 8's and 9's, and maybe even a few 10's on a good day.
Thanks again to Ron Burgundy.
Give Baxter a Milk Bone for me.

Glad it turned out well! Baxter is munching on a bone and nursing a sore leg from me kicking him after tearing up my '62 Bauta.
