Are threads and posts on the forums ever deleted or are they forever archived? And if they are......

................. what current or future use does PCGS make of the archived data?

I assume that PCGS monitors the threads and posts to the forums for multiple reasons, including to keep its finger on the pulse of the members who post here and to be aware of member thoughts and opinions on current topics of interest in the hobby.

I assume also that PCGS has the ability to delete threads and posts and that it has selectively done so. However, I assume also that many of the threads and posts to the forums have much "stand alone value" [i.e. the valuable knowledge, expertise and insight on a specific hobby topic contributed by multiple persons, the sum total of which does not exist in any other single, easily accessible location]. No reason exists to justify deleting such data and many reasons exist to preserve same.

If PCGS does not delete all threads and posts after a specified time period, what has been and what could be done with the data?
