I was wrong, I stated the other night that I only see green numbers well I just saw one of my first red numbers, and it was on a capped bust HALF dime, 1836 3/inverted 3 in MS65 dropped by $600. I apologize to PCGS for saying never.image

Edited to add half dime, thanks.

The Indian Half Eagles often show red. They tend to bounce up and down in a certain range.

You mean half dime. I agree that red is an odd color to see on the price guide site.

A less than stellar coin sells and the next thing you know the price drops. The CDN went through similar variations over the past few years. Out of the blue they would drop prices on say PF65 no motto halves in gem. Was it because they got easier to find? Of course not. Probably one lucky upgrade got wholesaled off for low end money and the whole market was readjusted to the dog.
