PSA grading

I am new to card grading, I apologize for my ignorance. I was looking to send 20 cards in to psa for grading. I am kind of unclear about there fee structure. Do I first need to setup a membership for $99 which includes 6 gradings. I would then have to send the remainder of the cards in under the summer special? Is the way to avoid the $99 membership fee, or is there a cheaper alternative to getting 20 cards graded by PSA?

Join PSA - use the 6 Free and send your other 14 at the same time (on a different sub form). This will be the cheapest way.

no way to avoide the membership fee. $99 gets you membership for 1 year, along with 6 free subs.

..and don't forget you need the coupon to submitt the freebies, so if you want to get your cards under the current $5 registry special...the coupon won't come it time. Just send the first 14 under the current special and sub the rest when the coupon comes in about two weeks.

I live in Chicago and the Nationals are coming up in a few weeks. How much does psa charge to send in at the show? I called and they said that they will have on the spot grading. It is ONLY $30 per card. that is crazy
