    Good for you.
  • Links to scans of some cards

    Scan

    scan 2

Not the greatest scans, I would say that most cards would be around a 5 or 6.
  • Let me know if you want to see any of the other cards.
  • I would love to jump on this one but the seller makes it too easy.
  • what more do you want i posted the better cards of the batch, all thats left are common cards all of which are in similar condition. To me it's pretty cut and dry what is for sale here.

Really? Do you really feel that way?

Before I read that statement, I saw your scans and felt the cards
    were 3 or 4's.

Is this a case where a seller is looking through rose colored glasses?

Or a case of a potential buyer (I am not) trying to low ball?

    Opinions wanted.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • Well compared to other cards I have gotten back that were 3's and 4's I would say these are better, that is what I'm basing my opinion on. Think what you want about them, and if you're not interested move along.
  • Ok, I can not control myself. Every card you have in photobucket at the very best has soft corners and offcenter. Most, however, have creases. The Hank Aaron looks like someone crumbled in their hand or it was one of the infamous stuck in my spokes cards. $50 for the Musial that is way OC, well rounded corners, a print mark or smudge and maybe some paper loss?

So basically I was not seeing things? They are 3's and 4's?

    Good for you.

Then my next question would be if you feel these are 5 and 6's why not have the better cards graded?

    hmmmmmmmmmm???

Wouldn't they then fetch more dollars?

Oh I get it, you want 5 and 6 prices for these cards without actually getting them graded.

Move along? I don't think so.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • I guess they are 3's and 4's. You guys act like i've been doing this for years, I just started give me a break.
  • WinPitcherWinPitcher Posts: 27,726 ✭✭✭
No problem Ryan, you will get better at grading as time passes.

    Steve

    Good for you.
  • This same guy offered to sell his Gibson rookie to MM for $220 on his HOF rookie thread. When MM wasn't interested, he dropped the price to $100. Apperantly the card has a stain which he blamed on his scanner then said he could not guarantee the card was not trimmed.

Between you, me and the man on the moon I wouldn't trade with any of these
guys that show up out of no where. Let them build a rep here like one would have to do
on ebay. All I see is overgraded-overpriced stuff anyway.

This latest guy shows cards that at best are 3's and 4's and claims they are 5 and 6's.

Then when called on it claims he is just starting out and did not know.

He knew how to price them at 5 and 6 levels though.

Now a person can price their cards at any level they wish, it is when they
assign a grade to them that is so far out of wack that I feel compelled
    to make a statement.

    Steve
    Good for you.

Hate to continue a discussion thread on the BST forum, but there is a new guy on the vintage forum that has a few cards for sale that I want but kinda scared to deal with him just becasue he is new. They are PSA graded, prices are nice and he seems legit but there is always that chance of getting the shaft that scares me.
