this article explains how to use hydrogen perxiode to clean your dirty crusted copper coins. i use it all the time for cleaning my copper coins that i find metal detect and it works great.

    if you do this, your coins will most likely take on an unnatural pinkish-orange color.... I wouldn't recommend using this method at all!
