Jay Bruce - Hall of Fame Bound???????????????

Just checked out a new listing for a Jay Bruce card. Seller claims in the title that he is the Rookie of the Year and Future hall of famer........maybe jumping the gun a little? Gotta love titles like that.

Lets wait until he's at least played 100 games in the bigs...lol

Seriously, I'm sure we'll have a better idea in a few years and then it would depend if he stays healthy and if he can make the adjustments when the pitchers get scouting reports, etc. Look at home many rookies of the year and first round draft picks never pan out. I'm with BobaFett72 on this one.

I remembering buying Joe Charboneau rookies in 1981....
  • Always the chance he falls into the Kevin Maas, Matt Nokes, Mike Greenwell and Pat Listach category.
  • both matt nokes and greenwell had a few decent seasons image

If his career ended today he'd be first ballot.

I'm still here sitting on my stack of '88 Score Gregg Jefferies RCs waiting for his HOF number to be called.
  • How could I forget Jefferies? Think I may do a Greg Jefferies does America thread and the last guy has to film the card being flushed down the toilet. BTW, where is Mr Knoblauch?
  • I would have bet a lot of money in the 80's that Gooden, Strawberry and Mattingly were Hall bound.
