J-1315 Pattern Trade Dollar Arrived, PCGS OGH

It's deeply Mirrored...and when I used side lights, it comes out almost Gunmetal colored.
I was stunned at the High-Relief look it has.

So, I bounced the light directly off the slab, and used auto contrast to get rid of the washed out look...

It has a very light fingerprint near the cap-n-pole (photograph makes it look worse).
But, balance that with some great Electric Blue and Pumpkin Orange color...
This coin was mentioned in an earlier thread, and many commented on the price.
Since the original Heritage appearance in 2005, someone doubled their money (good for SteveT).
But then again, so have most Trade Dollars. For the same price as a nice Proof TD, I'll take this instead.
It was BIN priced exactly as a PF-64 in the Redbook for Patterns. I'm happy it's in a PCGS Old Green Holder and has my favorite Look.
Plus, since the $30 Million pattern deal, I've had a hard time finding anything...
Some in the original thread thought it was a reach (price wise), but I think it was more than justified since a PF-65 in the Redbook is $9k, and I can't spend that much.
Feel free to tell me I'm crazy for paying that much (or offer me your patterns)...

It is a very attractive coin. Proof's are among the most difficult to get an accurate photo of.

<< <i>I think you should send it around for photographs.
This would make a great competition coin, someone would have to front a prize though.

I'm out... I have my own proof Patterns that I can't image.

Maybe it's time for a how to on the photography forum.
