Jose Jimenez's connection to my happy married with children life

A little off topic and I apologize if it's too sappy of a story... but I thought some of you might enjoy this story. 9 years ago today (June 25, 1999) Jose Jimenez, an unknown picther for the Cardinals, threw a no-no against the Diamondbacks at the BOB. It was actually the second no-no I saw live as I also saw Fernando no-hit the Card's some years before that at Chavez Ravine. Anyway, on this night 9 years ago I was in Phoenix for a convention. That night the group reserved the center field pavilion party area. Up above the pool. They had food, kegs, etc.... I didn't really watch the game and have vague recollections of the end of the game due to intoxication and meeting a nice young lady at the game. This young lady was also from Sacramento and also at the game due to the convention I was there for. We met, sparks flew, love at first sight... and 9 years later we have been married for almost 7 years and have two beautiful children together. We have a nice Jose Jimenez rookie card in our china cabinet as a momento. I really should get that card graded one of these days to make it a better keep sake for posterity. Here's a link I found on-line about the game. I had forgotten that the Big Unit pitched for the D-backs that night.

Nice story. Did you end up naming your first kid Jose or just name it after the beer you were drinking that night, or do you remember?? Just kidding, congrats on your happy family!

Corona and Bud are well adjusted kids. Luckily it was him that was drunk and not her!
Gotta love a lady that will let you keep a Jose Jimenez card in the china cabinet, our's is full of Irish Belleek. My 78 set is in the closet.
