$10 to ship is a bit steep for a single graded card, no?

yes, ive bought from him before without looking at the shipping fees. Shame on me for not looking, shame on him for charging $10 to ship. Never again
  • That $10 is for S.H.I.- Shipping, Handling And Insurance! The card sells for about $150. The insurance/postage,the bubble wrap envelope, the gas/time to go to the post office ,the time listing, scanning, the ebay fees/paypal feesand the time to follow up leave feedback, etc. If any one wants to spend 2+ hours for $10 come on your hired!!!!!!
  • I do and I will offer shipping discounts for multiple items won/purchased!! Make me an offer on any of the cards you want/need in 1957 football! Negotiate shipping in terms when making an offer and I will consider selling @ or near cost sometimes. I have several members pay the $5 for a common card PSA 8 + insurance. That was how high it was 3-4 years ago when I was purchasing cards and thought that was high. Until I started my store and realized the price for doing business was high!! Sorry, I do not like charging no more than I have to. However, it is the cost of doing business and staying in business and able to offer other cards to other members that need/want 50+ year old cards. I have had single cards delivered in the $150 dollar range! The cost was $10.49 for postage and shipping insurance not including the bubble mailer . That person took a loss. I can use the post office calculator and let it figure it for you like other people on ebay and believe me it comes up over $10. Look on ebay for Lenny Moore PSA 7. The shipping charges are calculated from the post office. Just the cost/time to grade a card is $15+. I have paid the $10 plus buyers premiums to get the cards I need/want in high grade!!

    Thanks,
    John
  • Dude, your killing me. Shipping charges are for shipping only not time, gas, supplies, grading fees, laundry bill for the clothes you wore taking the cards to the post office, etc. Apperantly you give good service because your DSR's are all 4.9 or 5.0 accept for shipping charges which is 4.7. BTW, it does not cost $10.49 to ship a card with $150 insurance. I can ship overnight from my office with insurance for that cost. Granted I get a small bulk discount, but you get the point. Through USPS it is about $4.

Just curious, why is it $10 to ship this card but most of your other graded cards are $5?
