I don't want to guess, but here is a link with a few other black signed balls. The ball does seem way too expensive. Does the gold sig make a difference over the silver I have linked?

    Use some common sense....

Ichiro is still alive, it takes him under 3 seconds to scribble that illegible name. The ball alone is maybe a $15-$20 ball (Ive seen many colored balls over the years).

All that said it should never sell for more than $50 tops.

But why would anyone want a black ball?? Ugly! And it might not last 50 years without the gold sharpie (paint) flaking off IMO.

Best is always going to be ball point on a white ball.

If you have to ask, then IMO NO it is not worth it.

Unless of course if it is numbered 1/1

    or some other manufactured rarity.

    Just kidding of course.
