1974 Bahama's Set

Not rare but I think it is a nice set. Any opinions?

good picture - love the flora/fauna themes on the coins!

usually for the silver proofs like this one, I use diffused, indirect lighting to avoid taking pictures of the light sources in the coins. you can place a white lampshade over the coins and take the picture directly thru the hole in the top of the lampshade, or you can place the lights behind a sheer white sheet. either way will help to prevent the lights from showing the in the mirrors on the coins.

Wayne -I really like the set, I don't know why these Franklin Mint proof series from the Caribbean islands are not better appreciated. They are silver and of great quality. I like them - good photo.

Lovely coins. One day there may be a market, but it does allow those of us that like this sort of thing to pick them up relatively inexpensively. They may stay that way and never be loved, but who knows?

I collect Commonwealth coins struck by the Royal Mint, so I don't think I have any struck by the Franklin Mint (although I do have the RM issued mint sets). Perhaps some of the RM snobbery I engage in is practiced by other collectors. image

It fascinates me that we can sometimes purchase collector coins below melt value.
