EBay DSR problem

Ok. I'm not one to complain about this new system but my Insurance rates are not being calculated correctly when buyers go to check out even though I have it set in my insurance rules to charge based on the price. It is charging customers $1.70 per item won! So if someone wins 10 items that totals $50, instead of it showing $1.70 for insurance it is showing $17. Ebay has been working on this for over a week now to fix it and I am not sure how long it has been doing this. It bugs me because I am sure it is messing up my DSR on shipping. Thanks Ebay.

Aren't you refunding them when they overpay?
  • I have refunded the overpays but for example, I have insurance being optional, I had one guy who saw the high insurance and said he was going to have it insured until he saw the price. So I paid for the insurance and shipped it. How many people have seen the same thing and not said anything to me?

Sorry, not having this problem. Agreed, I would refund and do all the time when multiple items don't combine shipping. Its just the right thing to do.

I've seen the same thing for people who have won multiple items. I've found the best thing to do is to send an ebay invoice right away after the items end. This way you can manually change the insurance price on the invoice to the correct amount.

BEFORE they pay you is the key, I lost TEN bucks on shipping ONE item last week! Guy paid 4.95 NO INSURANCE but it was a 1k item so it need the works as far as sig confirmation etc

How is this a DSR problem? Sounds to me like an invoice one.

MANY times a buyer will look at the invoice - think it looks "high/wrong" - BUT
go ahead and pay it anyway, without contacting the seller.

Then, when it's time to do the DSRs, the shy-buyer whacks the stars.

I have yet to figure the psychology of folks who refuse to communicate with
their sellers, BUT I do know the phenom is rampant. They simply let their
FB and DSRs do their talking.
