My First BBCE Order.

I just placed my first order with Baseball Card Exchange. I've noticed that many of you speak highly of Steve Hart and are comfortable buying "unopened" products from him. I ordered (1) 1975 Topps Football Cello Pack. (I know its not much) Once I receive it in the mail I will do a live break so everyone can enjoy. as I enjoy watching others open theirs.

Best of luck to you. I followed up our board break of 78 baseball and ordered 3 more Friday - and 4 81 Donruss golf. I'm sure I'll scan the highlights (or real lowlights). We should do another board vintage rip soon. That was fun.

    Good luck Adam!

You can even get bad cards from anyone, even Steve, but you can be sure they're not opened and searched and that's not something you can find everywhere.

If they're unopened and unsearched I don't mind paying the money and taking my chances. image

Yes, bad cards DO happen to good people.

I remember buying, literally, hundreds of 1982 Fleer wax packs, in 1982, and you know how many regular Pete Rose cards I got? One. But I got a stinkin ton of the Pete and Re-Pete.
  • Just got these in from Steve today. 23 boxes total as I took any quantity he had available. Should be fun!

Now that's one heck of an order. That'll be an awesome time opening those.

    GOOD LUCK

  • If anyone bothered to watch my boring BBCE rip you will tell by the last photo posted that they were unsearched. I included 3 packs of 81 Donruss golf, which have become rather rare, trying to pull one gem Nicklaus(my white whale). Pulled one that is almost perfectly centered but it has a surface flaw or two. Oh well, it was better than the one I had in my set.
  • I've yet to make a BBCX purchase, but will do so this summer hopefully. Sounds like good prices and good service.

  • NDfan broke the #1 rule of his first BBCE order. He did not add a box of 1986 Topps or OPC baseball.

  • I would like to thank you for forcing me to spend another $120 with BBCE. I also forgot to get a box of 86s. Was actually trying to come up with a similar group break and ended up getting these:

1 x 1982 Topps Football Unopened Grocery Rack Pack
2 x 1982 Topps Baseball Unopened Grocery Rack Pack
2 x 1983 Donruss Baseball Unopened Grocery Wax Rack
1 x 1983 Fleer Baseball Unopened Jumbo Rack Pack
2 x 1984 Donruss Baseball Unopened Rack Pack
1 x 1984 Fleer Baseball Unopened Rack Pack
4 x 1984 Topps Baseball Unopened Grocery Rack Pack

^^^^ Hey don't mention it. I do what I can to help. Just look how much fun your going to have. image

A question came to mind. Is it better to buy a graded cello pack and crack it or buy a cello pack raw. I had this option when I purchased my 75 cello. There was one graded an 8 for $70.00 or a raw one for $75.00. I went with the raw cello......but I don't know why.

  • If you trust the seller, not much difference. BTW, my wife caught me paying for my BBCE order. If you need me later, I will be sleeping on the couch. Couldnt help myself with the 84 Donruss baseball. Last time I opened one was in 1988 or 89. Paid $50 per rack then. $20 seemed too good to pass up. Well, back to the couch.

I found out the hard way that you should include the missus on all recreational purchases!

Thus the fear I have of making a similar purchase. Thing is, my wife will check the account online and question it. Sneaky women...
