(OT) PS3 40GB or 80GB?

Why should I buy an 80GB system? I plan on playing sports games and racing games. I play 1 player 99% of the time and never plan on playing on line. I've heard that the 40GB doesn't play PS2 games, which I have about 20 sports games. Tell me why I need to invest in the 80 GB system. Thanks in advance. Joe

  • I think what you probably care more about is whether you're buying a PS3 with the PS2 and PS1 hardware inside. At some point Sony decided to stop including this stuff and just allowed the PS3 to emulate the old games using software code. This doesn't work as well and doesn't guarantee that all games will work or play correctly. If you don't care about the hard drive I would suggest going smaller because you can always upgrade it later if you find out you want the space. It's pretty easy to do, there is a thorough guide on gamespot.com.
