Best Place to Buy/Sell Cards?

As you can see, i am a new member and i am excited about conversing with people who really know an abundance about sportscards. I have quite a large inventory of baseball/football cards but one day those will sell and it will be time re-stock. My question to you sportscard sellers out there is where do yall buy your cards for cheap enough prices and where do you sell them to make a respectable profit. Over the years i have bought my cards at estate sales, but they were always a rare find. I also used eBay to sell them. Where are yall's best buying and selling locations?

Haha yes that seems logical, can you make a pretty decent profit buying raw cards in good condition, grade them, and sell them for a great price?

Edited to say: Not accusing you of anything. Some of your questions are fairly rudimentary - which is great. Love seeing new people in the hobby - but if I were an exiled former member, I would come back to the board and try to throw people off by coming off as a newbie. If not, no biggie, just figured I'd ask. Welcome to the board.

Like most thing...you can make a lot of money, but it is easy to loss a lot of money.

If looking for an investment, I would go gold and silver for about another year....then pull out.

My buying is limited to ebay and occasionally at the two card shops in my local area.

I don't sell cards very often, but when I do, it's on ebay. If you have a decent assortment of cards, you could set up as a seller at a local card show, or just put them on ebay. I know of a few people who buy unopened boxes of new cards at their local card shop, and then bust them and sell the individual cards on ebay.

Many people seem to make a comfortable living buying cards and then reselling them, but before you do so, you need to make sure you study and gain the necessary knowledge. It won't do you any good to jump in with both feet, and buy cards that end up being overgraded or overpriced by the person you're buying them from. The trick is to buy undergraded/underpriced cards, and then turn them around for a profit. It's much easier said than done.

Ive been preparing to do flea markets. Little or no competition and a great way to move cheaper items for much higher profit. Also, Im thinking it doesnt just have to be sports but nonsports also. Lots of kids being dragged by their parents. A handful of Spiderman,
Wrestling, or Harry Potter cards for 10-25 cents a piece can go a long ways quickly. Can also move base cards like Jeter, Pujols, Wright, and whoever the local heroes are.
MetalMike may have something to say on flea markets. I know he sells at them often.
