Unidentified Vintage Japanese Baseball Cards--HELP

I have had a snapcase of 54 of these cards for years with no idea of what they were; someone just posted a graded Japanese card of something, so I was wondering if anyone on this board could help me identify these and tell me if they are worth anything. Thanks.

    Japan Cards

  • I have some of those cards as well. I've been trying to find more and you're one of the first I've seen that has them. If you're ever interested in selling let me know.

From what I've been told they are from 1964 and are a Japanese (obviously) Menko set. There are some stars including Sadaru Oh in the set.

It took me forever to figure out what those hands were on the back (batting and throwing sides?) Turns out it's a game of rock-paper-scissors. Apparently baseball cards needed more usage for Japanese kids. The question mark is for a did-you-know kind of thing.

3 of them are 1963 Marusho and the bottom right is a 1964 Marusan .........I believe.

The player on bottom left is Sadaharu Oh....... the all time HR king image Its worth about $75
  • For card on bottom right, see: Robs_Japanese_Eto

Its designation is 1964 Marusan JCM11 [Japanese card Menko set 11]

Cool cards. The one on the left, second row is the great Sadaharu Oh. I have some checklist and home but Rob's Japanese Card site is the best of its kind.

When my wife gets home I'll see if she can decipher them. It'll be a nice vacation from the cage for her.
