Japanese baseball cards: Sadaharu Oh

Just a little something different. This the most commonly recognized Oh rookie card. His Giants teammate Shigeo Nagashima is in the background (whom the Japanese generally consider to be the greater player of the two). Got it in the latest Andy Madec auction.

    That is a sweet pickup.

Decided to look up Shigeo Nagashima and here are some of his stats. Mind you, these are in seasons where they played about 130 games a year. Him and Sadaharu Oh were the Manny Ramirez and Big Papi of Japan.

There's more to me than you'll ever know. And I got more hits than Sadaharu Oh.

Yes. And also, I got more action than my man John Woo, and I got mad hits like I was Rod Carew.

A 1962 Oh just sold on PWCC last night for (IMO) a steal of a price. Mad at myself for chickening out on my bid.
