Okay, on second thought I'm not going to share what it is yet. Last time I did that the item got swooped away from me. Not sure if it was a board member or some other person. BUT, if I do end up getting this item it will be the center piece of my collection and something I've been looking for since I was a kid. Oh man oh man! This will be awesome if it works out.

My scanners not working so I can't post any pics. BUT, if you can guess what I'm talking about I'll send you 2 modern insert cards that I've got sitting right here in front of me. One is a Mickey Mantle and the other is a Roger Maris. I just found them tonight sorting through the 25 monster boxes I moved recently.

Rules:

One guess per person.
This contest is for 24 hrs only.
You have to guess what sports item I am talking about.

    I sorta had to tell someone even if I haven't come right out and said it yet. I'm sure someone will convince me it's better to share at some point in the next 24 hrs. In fact, let's do this. I'll host a contest.

    Allen is right. After thinking about this, it does seem a little impossible. So, I'll through some bones your way.

    Hint: You could easily guess what it is by a clue in my first post and also what diamondman wrote.

    And just so everyone knows, I already have Dr. Who the lost episodes on Laser Disc. Just kidding. image

    Diamondman is our winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sent me a PM before Allen answered. Both were correct though. April 13th, 1962 Life Magazine with the cards uncut. Diamondman PM me your addy so I can send your cards out.

    OK, that seems fair. We'll take your word for it that he had the right answer and before Allen. Nothing like transparency. And it doesn't really matter much since it's Allen ending up on the short end again. image (Although I wouldn't want to offend him - he seems to hold a grudge image )

    I paid $91 for it. I've been trying to find the 10% purchase coupon on ebay, but can't seem to find it. Can't find the shipping coupon either.
    I've been wanting this for a very very very long time.
