GOT TO SEE one of Baseball's finest collections ...

Just returned from Bennington, Vermont where the local museum has two baseball exhibits:
"The Golden Age of Baseball" and "Baseball in Vermont"
Everything a collector would love is on display and at a fingertip's reach. Bats from almost every icon are lined upon the wall - Cobb, Ruth, Joe Jackson, Mantle, Mays, Clemente, Williams ... jerseys from Gerhig, Musual, Brooks Robby, Rose and Koufax are here. Some great baseball cards and gum boxes, wrappers, tickets, pennants and lots of photos.
Stadium seats and chairs from several great past ball parks and the turnstyle from Yankee Stadium is at your touch.
The "Baseball in Vermont" connection is dear to anyone who loves the early history of the game with local baseball sides and local players which include TV star Chuck Connors - i.e "The Rifleman" to Carlton Fisk and several Boston Red Sox and Braves from the turn of the century. Some rare team photos, early 1900's team jerseys, caps and gloves are there for close inspection.
It definately is as good as it gets. (and I have been to all the major sports musuem - NBA, NHL, NFL, baseball and soccer HOF) The exhibit is from June 14 to August 17 and is made up of two private collections and the Bennington Center for the Arts.
I hope to have photos to share soon for anyone who cannot get there. But I recommend it ....
cheers

I was surprised that they have not stocked the online store with baseball stuff.
