Are Pokemon Cards Worthless?

I have a great deal of pokemon cards that were collected over the last several years and unfortunately, the last time I checked they are completely worthless. Does anyone know how to get rid of these dreadful things? Are there any out there worth grading and selling?

I see some expensive ones on EBAY, sometimes.

Try posting the Q on the non-sportscard board. Somebody
there will tell you which ones are good, eventually.

Pokemon are the future baseball cards. They are worthless and everyone is throwing them away. In 30 years a whole generation is going to be buying these things back for big money.

  • I would second Metalmike's suggestion:

Give them to a teacher or any other organization that works with kids (Boys & Girls Club, local community center, etc.).

As I've mentioned before, I operate a private tutoring center, and when we put sports cards, Pokeman cards, or Magic cards in our prize bins, they fly out the door.

Also keep in mind that school PTA's are always looking for items for their fundraiaing auctions....Pokeman cards may not sound like a great item, but if kids find out about them, they will be begging their parents to bid.

Heck, if you don't want them, ship them to me and I'll use them for prizes at my tutoring center.....

Kids love them, donate the cards to a school or a charity! There are a few cards that have value, my son has a Charizard card that sells for approximately $100 which I hear him talking about all the time. Check E-Bay for what cards are valuable.

I wonder if those "Get Smart" cards of the 60's will get a bump in price with the new "Get Smart" movie coming out?

I have a 4 year old girl and a 10 year old son that would love to have those cards if you decide to dump them. Sometimes I think they are speaking another language and it turns out to be Pokemon. We'd pay for shipping if you are so inclined.

    Take care,

Give 'em to Navarro's kids. It's always supply and demand, not age, that determines value, and they are never going to be rare becuase we never throw anything away.
