Shipping to Canada question

I have a canadian looking to make a $500 to $600 purchase. What is the best way to send it and be protected? I've only sent $20 items before...I wasn't too concerned about something going wrong. Thanks, STEVE

If it is a PayPal transaction, some combination of this seems the only safe way.

    Express Menu

    ..............................................

If it is a check/MO transaction, Priority Int with the right insurance will do.

    ............................................

Caution on the Express to Canada. The final leg of the trip is sometimes
by FedEX. They do/may charge the customer an extra fee on delivery.

Also, make sure the customer knows he is responsible for any customs money that is due.

Some folks use this thing to ship overseas, and avoid the PayPal problems.

I do not think it is an "approved" EBAY form of payment:

"Foreign Buyers Must Wait For Invoice and Payment Instructions."

    Money Order Exchange

Also, international folks are used to doing bank to bank transactions. They trust the concept.

  • Thanks Storm.

I've never used Priority International and didn't know I could insure an item through that service.

The prospective buyer only has about 150 transactions, thus, making it harder to get a read on him.

Remember: If it's a PayPal deal, you will need to use Express to get the proper online-viewable docs.

Priority is ONLY safe if PayPal is not in the mix; there is no online thingy on Priority International.
