1915 Great Britain Half Penny

I have a 1915 great britain half penny. Will have pics to post tomm. One side is in great shape other side slightly worn but 1915 under throne clear and can make out the end of penny. My Krausse catalog shows these are bronze coins and all my other halfs before and after these are bronze. Wierd thing is this one is silver/metal. It is exact for a 1915 half penny except the metal. Can anyone advise.

Most likely this has been given a silver wash. I have severalsouth african pennies that have been washed and look just like they were minted in silver.

Jon's probably right, I have several myself (gorgeous toning on them too!)
If you can accurately weigh them you'll be able to determine if they are solid
    silver or just plated.

Yes, I have a couple of plated bits as well. One had me fooled initially but I confess to scraping the edge where it could not be seen with an incisive and saw the copper alloy beneath.
