what is this 1951 Bowman Mantle rc worth?

have always wanted a Mantle rc. But obviously they are expensive. This one looks pretty bad shape, but might be a chance to actually own one. what should something like this actually go for?

To me that looks like an artlessly applied beat-down to give a phony card a vintage look.

    Only 14 feedback.
    No feedback as a seller.
Almost no description and no scan of the back.
If I had to guess, its a reprint.
Looks like a lighter or match was put to the edges which created those dark spots.

I'd save up for a psa 1 already graded one....would probably need about 1k for a psa 1. going for something like pictured and you are likely throwing your money away...no matter how 'cheap' it goes for.

I agree with Cal, if legit that card belongs in a holder.

Not in a holder? You are asking for trouble.

Especially from a seller like that.

FAKE>>>FAKE>>>FAKE...Did I mention that it is FAKE?

  • Agree with the numerous who say fake. I'm not knowledgable in vintage but it does look like the smoke from a match or whatever and the corner was scuffed or erased.

  • His rookie is the 1952 topps
Are you new to the hobby?
Every seller in the hobby knows that?
Or am I a total idiot?

His rookie is the 1952 topps

the bowman card is actually his first card... and his true rookie card
  • Oh now the 51 mantle is his TRUE rookie?
So what is his 52 Bowman Mantle?
    is that his rookie?

Is the 52 Topps Mays his rookie?
If the 52 mantle topps is his rookie why Does NO one list a 52 Topps Mays card as a Rookie?

Maybe a 53 Bowman Mantle is now his rookie?

    What next?
I say a 69 topps is his true rookie
I can't believe how moronic people are
You just can't decide what you FEEL his rookie is.

    Just madness I say, Madness!!!!!!!!!!

Since the holder costs something like $1.00; I'd say it's worth $1.01.
    Thanks,
